The FOSC 450 is the workhorse in-line splice closure on North American OSP plant. Surplus units come new-in-box from over-ordered builds and as clean pulls from cutovers. Priced from the part number — configuration drives the number more than condition does.
Closures move fast — don’t scrap them

Quote-priced by configuration. B6 and D6 bodies, splice tray count, gasket and grommet kits, and whether the hardware kit is complete all move the price. Send the label photo and we’ll price it the same day.
The suffix is the whole story. A string like FOSC450B6-6-24-1-B3V encodes the body style, the number of cable ports, the tray and splice capacity, and the seal kit. Two closures that look identical on a pallet can differ by a factor of two in value because one is loaded with trays and the other is a bare body.
Photograph the label rather than typing the number — these strings get mistyped constantly, and a wrong character sends the quote sideways.
Clean pulls are genuinely sellable if the gaskets are intact and the body isn’t cracked. What kills a closure is a cracked dome, missing hardware, or gaskets that have taken a permanent set.
Please don’t scrap these. Closures are high-value per pound and they move fast — scrapping a pallet of FOSC 450s is one of the more expensive mistakes we see.
